Rachael’s West End Treat!

Rachael is 23, from South port and has recurring cancer in her spine.

Rachael wanted some time away with her mum and her sister somewhere posh and to maybe see a show.

So we set to work!

So on June 3rd Rachael, with her Mum Elaine and sister Caitlin was collected by executive car from her home and taken to Wigan North Train Station to board their first class carriage to London (Rachael is visually impaired and her dog doesn’t travel well in cars, so train it was!)

Upon arrival they we collected and taken to the beautiful Rubens at the Palace hotel, opposite Buckingham Palace! Where they checked into their gorgeous suite overlooking the Mews. here they pampered and preened before setting our for a sumptuous three course dinner and drinks in the  beautiful Old Master restaurant.

Then the surprises began, they were collected and taken to the Victoria Palace Theatre where they we greeted by a VIP host and given some souvenir brochures. Then they were shown to there front of house seats to watch the amazing Billy Elliott the Musical, During the interval they were given full VIP treatment of Champagne and a private table.

At the end of the performance they were taken to meet the the amazing cast and have a full meet and greet experience.

Here’s what Rachaels mum Elaine told us afterwards

” A huge thank you for Rachael’s special Memory day. We were spoiled from start to finish. Staff at the hotel were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was gorgeous and very comfortable. Billy Elliot was absolutely fantastic, the staff at the theatre were also wonderful. Meeting the cast at the end was the icing on the cake, they were so lovely. Rachael’s jaw was aching by the end of the day, it was lovely to see her so happy after everything she has been through. Your charity is very special and a testament to Steph, Thank you once again for bringing a bit of sunshine into our lives and putting one huge smile on Rachael’s face. This has been a wonderful and unforgettable experience”

Huge Thanks to Manor Borne, Malcolm and the Staff at Rubens, The staff, cast and crew at Billy Elliott the musical for helping to give Rachael and her family some amazing memories
